The same issue's happening to me too. The Barney and Zombie models replace their normal ones. I think their material textures might be the issue with that too because of them having the same folder names like the originals.

Barney's Shirt Textures are his normal ones not Heart Of Evil's version.

Barney's face texture looks a bit small

Their mouth won't move when they speak. Just a slight bug you don't have to fix.

Just like every other VJ npc addon after the Base update, the friedly NPCs are hostile to player.

You should try and disable all your addons and see if the NPCs are still hostile to you, you might have some conflicting addons. If that doesn't work check the settings in your VJ Base since you might have a setting turned on that makes every NPC hostile, since you mentioned it happens to all VJ Base NPCs
