After multiple in-game years, I finally got sick of the RNG based gene extraction with vanilla Biotech, and I like your approach to it best.

However, I seem to have found a bug with selecting genes with the Archite Vat II. I've tried with 3 different pawns to extract the Delicate gene: a Genie, Highmate, and a custom xenogerm I made from a 2-pack genepack with Delicate and Acid Spray.

With all 3 of them, I cannot select Delicate as the targeted gene to extract. I've made certain I don't have it as a single gene anywhere on the map. Further testing shows that I can't select hair colors either.

The only related log messages I see are (1) when I target a gene: 'DEBUG: Selected gene: "<gene>" for extraction'. (2) when I use dev mode to extract all other genes listed in the the gene-target selection menu then try to open the target selection again: "Created FloatMenu with no options. Closing". And lastly, (3) forcing another extraction after exhausting the list of targetable genes logs:
"<pawn> doesn't have any genes you don't have singles of. Adding a random gene from their geneset instead."

So there's certainly something causing the extractor not to see some genes. I only have one other mod that touches genes and it's Random's Gene Assistant. No modded genes, all vanilla. I tried messing with the mod load order, but no change.
