Entire UI turning white and black screen bug report
there is a bug where all the survivor profile rectangle turns white, also a big white square appears on the crosshair somehow related to the healthbar as it fades out when HP is low
And a black screen appears on the sniper scope

what you're describing is probably something that's caused by alt+tabbing in and out of the game.
try playing the game in windowed borderless mode and see if the issue still persists.

playing the game in windowed borderless mode seems to have fixed the issue, thanks !
