Item drop rates
You mentioned this only works when starting a new game, do you think that applies to other mods that affect drop rate as well, or just how this one works?

It should apply to other mods too. To fully fix the drop chances in an existing save game, you have to update all the sectors/units (which are pre-generated when the game is created). I'm pretty sure no mod does this yet as it is quite involved.
