broken part:
the rep over time function doesn't works
- I've first tried it with low Mech-Skill of ~ 8 points and give MC the g98 von Kalyna -> not improving over three days
- second MP with ~90 Mech-Sillpoints -> no repairing of items
working part?
the "DMG increase"-part of skill should be working. it is shown correctly with full modded gun.
PS: I've checked the original skill properties ingame:
there is a check for the "repair over time", if you have hired vicki
(which isn't importand, if my MC should trigger the skill)
Maybe it is possible to change the skill-check to:
if someone in active unit have the skill
or trigger the created IMP-Char with skill
tried to start the lone merc on the other side of the map and it still dint trigger
not true for "elbow grease" -> perks checks if you have vicki hired and then runs repair over time
I've made me an ugly, homebrewed workaround but couldn't hire vicki if I use this. :(
spoiler=I don't know the properly code to adress the player-char and vicki so I replaced vicki with my chosen IMP-char.
sadly JA3 uses for "elbow grease"
and only for the repair over time function
a direct programm-code (check if active unit is vicki & active unit is hired -> then run code) why they didn't use their own possible programfunction where you could set conditions and then run effects no clue.
The same problems (not checked yet) should occure with barrys grenades.
I have made an imp with elbow grease (workaround) and jack of all trades.
(last named perk is checked later today in game. but didn't has this kind of coding.)
I love that ability. I really just don't like dealing with her snark.
Hi Kevlar,
It is the same problem, like "elbow grease" and many other personal perks. It checks if you have the correct merc (for the perk) hired. Coding didn't suggest that you need handheld device.
@SkunkXL: JackofallTrades-Test was no success. But next try is running. (didn't include the IMP-Char to the Personal-List of the Perk.)
Does she need to be IN your active squad for it to function? Assuming your IMP merc has the trait?
Sadly the perk works only for her. It checks if she is hired and the performing merc.
I'm making a test run now.
OK testrun will run later,, because I could get in the mod-enviroment. shift+alt+m isn't working anymore. :I
