That would be very helpful, there is little to no information about it. The only thing I know is that theres is an fps_view folder that is been included by other soldiers/civilian.def files, if I do the same thing to my rangers.def files once I spawn them you only see the mess up gray/white arms going crazy lmao.

hey i noticed that most of the humanskin on entity have arms on their respective folders. I also noticed that your ranger skins dont have arms files

i think you need to create your own or duplicate the arms.mtl files for your rangers to have hands in FPS mode

i think you need to create your own or duplicate the arms.mtl files for your rangers to have hands in FPS mode

There must be something else, I did what you mention about the arms so I separated it from the main body but it got out of sync with the skeleton animation thing. So I decided to export
just the arms separately and link it to my rangers.def and nothing smh. As for the arms.mtl files, if I'm not mistaken they are linked .dds textures of the objects you can find in the textures folder the ones for the rangers are just .tga files, but hey, like I said, I could be wrong about that.

In the meantime, I'm fixing some of the issues I've encountered and adding the remaining soldiers with the arms exported too in an update soon. Thanks @sungjemjamir for taking your time in helping me trying to solve this issue btw.

It seems like the skeleton that I was currently using doesn't provide the arms at all. I just need to locate the correct skeleton to use on the rangers. Knowing this, I might as well pause the latest rangers d variants I was about to drop today and use them with a different one.

by the way how do we edit the skeleton? id like to try it from my end too

You would need 3ds max and an compatible plugin to export the models to mdl format for the 3d program (I'm using the 2020). There is one for blender but didn't manage to get it to work like the 3ds max one.

@sungjemjamir After weeks of testing and re-exporting it, I finally got it working, No more missing arms/floating guns etc… Now based on the result I am going to optimize it so that all Rangers units use the same arms. I will post the fix soon.
