"I was originally hired by the corporation as an engineering consultant. As the device's construction began, I was moved to location to assist in the construction.

I was forced to sign a non-disclosure agreement, and told not to speak about my work to anyone.

I had a very high level of clearance, and oversaw most of the operations.

I was always told that the experiment was safe, and within boundaries of realistic scientific exploration. I believed this, and continued to work on the project without ever thinking twice about it.

It wasn't until I began to notice major changes in the lab. It was as if there was another simultaneous project going on over top of what we were working on, that was secret.

We started seeing a lot of new faces, and a lot of temps. We didn't even know where they were coming from. Some were foreign and clearly brought in from other occupied regions.

I became suspicious as this went on, because nobody knew who this team was, or what they were doing. It wasn't until I decided to see for myself. I arranged for some time to do some work on the machine, and I noticed modifications.

It was as if at one point somebody jacked up the power.

At this point I became afraid, because we are not supposed to talk about our work, but there were some serious modifications being made to the device, in secret, that to me seemed dangerous. This needed to be raised at least as a safety concern.

So I brought it up under confidence to a colleague. 'Do you remember ██████████████████?' He asked me, 'Do you know where he left to?'

I do not.

It turns out nobody does.
