I know infernoplus states the remover gun creates problems, i just want to report this issue in case it is addressed in the future:

In the level two betrayals after exiting the tunel, if you pick a remover gun and erase a grunt hoglet the screen becomes blue making you unable to play. You can still pause and load a checkpoint though.
On the other hand if you erase a banshee your remover gun crashes the game.
