Previously the only solution to certain fonts crashing the game on higher resolutions was to engage the "Limit scale" option. You can find this option on Spawn menu -> Utilities -> Half-Life 2 HUD -> Settings.

Now you can limit scaling on individual fonts, so you can single out fonts that can crash the game, such as Half-Life 2's weapon icons.

All default schemes limit weapon icons by default. It is now safer to untick the scale limiter. Try it yourself!
