Download the 3 parts.

Both are in 7zip format so you'll need to unpack them, then put the pack files in your "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\total war shogun 2\data" folder.

Just downloaded Morning Sun 2, and all I have to say is OUTSTANDING WORK. Love the huge variety, although all the factions and units are a bit confusing. Maybe it's because I'm very unfamiliar with history, but is there a reason Ming and Choson have some Japanese units? I am very surprised that you added Southeast Asian factions, although they seem a little underpowered. I'm actually new to Total War, but I feel like they are in dire need of armor or some heavy infantry units. I figured Dai Viet would have had some Chinese-like armor, or Ayuthaya would get some Portuguese-styled armor. I don't know any Southeast Asian history, but what exactly are those units wearing? Is there a name to the traditional clothing? Dai Viet seems a bit odd, wearing conical hats like it's the 19th century, and bright purple shorts. The Khmers also look pretty funky with bright green. Other than that, I love the detail put into Ming and Joseon. I know there are huge discussions in the Total War forums, but one final question: who, or what, was the Zhou Clan?

The Ming and Joseon should only have access to the Japanese retainers. If they have other units this may be due to a bug that gave them Japanese units for completing some missions.

I made a mod for M2TW called Eras Total Conquest which covered Southeast Asia in the 1547 campaign, so I had some information already about their units. I haven't done much research regarding what soldiers the Dai Viet army had so I don't know if they had armoured units.

Only the very wealthy in Ayuthaya would have European armour, which is why only the general's bodyguard wears it.

I don't know the names of the clothing but drawings from the time period show soldiers wearing this type of clothing.

The Dai Viet wore a conical hat and this hat looked the closest to what they wore.

I'm only certain about the colours the Ayuthaya (Thai) and Pagan (Burma) wear. The rest I guessed the colour to try and make them all look different.

The Zhou clan is one of the Tusi clans that lived in the south of China. They're made up of Miao and Dong Tusi.

Ah ok. Pretty cool stuff that you added. A lot more factions than I thought there'd be. I'm still pretty confused on why Ming can have Japanese generals and ashigaru, while some Japanese factions (I haven't checked them all) could get ahold of Jurchens. Also, is there some kind of bug for the European traders? They don't really look any different from the Japanese from the base game. I've only had time to try out this mod a few times, so I haven't fully experienced it.

I made the Ming using the Uesugi faction, so that's why they have some Uesugi generals in custom battles.

Japanese factions can recruit some Jurchen units, which is why they show up in custom battles.

I haven't done much with the European trader, other than making them playable in custom battles.

Oh ok. I never knew the Japanese recruited Jurchens, mercenaries I'm assuming? I found the Europeans in the Otomo faction, so it's all good. I'm not sure if this bug has been reported yet, but Ayuthaya's elite swordsmen have invisible swords. It's pretty hilarious, because it makes them look like they're killing with their bare hands with Muay Thai or something.

is it still impossible to upload it to steam ? otherwise if i download it from forums i cant disable mods i think

It's still impossible to upload to steam due to the mod size limits.

can you not break up the mod into 95MB - 99.7MB packs like you did 1.0?

I don't have enough space available to upload the 12-13 packs Morning Sun would need. Also some files are over 100MB, so I don't know if it's possible to upload them.

From what i understand unless it is skyrim only everything under 100MB can be uploaded. Also what do you mean by enough space, a few friends of mine have something like 6 gigs of mods on steam? are you on a data plan?

Something else you may try is asking a steam moderator for help on your files larger then 100MB. This Project is is huge from what i understand it is about +1GB in size. They may help you out on the mod data cap by uploading it themselfs onto your profile.

I'm not part of a data plan and I think there's a limit on how many files you can upload for one game.

How do I contact steam mods?
