I'm playing on Windows and had the same issue (11/14/2023)

Do you have the Guardian mod conflict helper enabled? Disabling that seemed to fix the issue for me.

I found a fix actually! The problem was actually with a lot of mods not just dms.

in the mod's description it says that it doesn't appear in the menu, you have to check the integrity of the game and disable the mod, then restart the game, but I don't know how to do these things, I'm a beginner at the game....

There should be a gear icon next to the game when you click on it, after that go into properties then installed files. There should be a button that says verify integrity of files, click on that.

Verifying integrity, and reenabling it did nothing for me. Do I need to do anything else?

all my mods are broken too D:

and my save files are gone
