Unintended bug (ships auto-upgrading with subwarp drives)
Unlocking subwarp drives causes all the civilian ships to be auto upgraded with subwarp drives. Meaning they can only ftl travel via jumping and can't self navigate. Paradox has disabled designing civilian ships so you're stuck with these.

Any fixes? I only wish to have jump drives on select military fleets.

I did edit the Subspace drive so that the Exploration and Engineering vessels would have upgrades between the Subspace Drive and the Jump Drive, and this would effect all of the civilian ships unfortunately.

I'll see what I can do to alleviate this!

You can make it so that the subwarp and warp drives aren't allowed on the other civilian ship classes, like how certain components are simply forbidden on certain ship classes. i.e. the first tier cloak is impossible to put on any ship class larger than a corvette/frigate

Been a while in this discussion, but the update today does allow Subwarp and Warp drive ships to traverse hyperlanes, albeit very slowly. This allows for automation as well as the use of gateways and such.
