It looking accurate to the real one doesn't matter, what matters is if it looks good in game.
As it stands, weapons that are shiny like the default ambassador look really bad, and need to be toned down.

Also the ambassador isn't just based on a Python, it's also mostly based on a Dan wesson ppc 357

dan wessons are still pretty shiny

I prefer the near glossy look of the original. The other changes are great though.

I completely agree. Your changes bring the gun closer to TF2's original lighting style.
