The organized battles and sieges are great, but the grind to pay for your arms and armor is terribly boring. Dying once in a battle and being naked for the rest of it in most cases also sucks (mostly skill issue I will admit, lol).

As for the "toxicity" I couldn't care less. The vast majority of people were chill and a few weren't. It's no wonder there will be killing in peacetime (RDM RDM RDM call the Gmod badmin!!11) if it's allowed by the game mechanics. Why they don't have it coded so pvp turns off when factions aren't at war is beyond me. Maybe it's a technical limitation?

All in all, it's a fun mod with drudgerous edges that could be smoothed, but as I understand the grind is intentional to make it more like a traditional MMO. So, the edges will remain sharp, and that's a pity for me.

I recommend this mod, but with a caveat. You MUST enjoy grinding like you're playing Runescape to get the gold and materials you need for equipment, or mooch.
