AI Scarab has an Invisible barrier around it.
My version seems to have and invisible barrier around both the Halo 3 and Halo 2 versions of the AI Scarabs expanding in sphere shape from the center. This makes it difficult to board and destroy the scarabs without taking inspiration from carter.

In the campaign for the Halo2 Scarab you weren't intended to get near the scarab, but the Halo 3 Scarab? hmmm

yeah you can't board them to destroy them, the collision is only for shooting them to death. you pretty much just shoot them to death. the AA cannon is fun, but if they shoot it, you're dead.
