See the section BUG REPORTS. You can also verify if this issue is caused by some other mod by disabling all other community mods and trying again.

(The only time I got this from this mod was when I started to add a OptionInterface and simply didn't do it correctly. Even back then it only happened when I tried to access the mod settings.
If it happens on startup then you might have some old modding files lying around. The people in Discord probably know more.)
