Is there any way to bind the "align the camera to the center/position of a slugcat" other than a map?
It would be nice to have another key that adjusts camera to where you are as long as you hold it

Are you talking specifically about the vanilla type camera that you can enable in the mod options?

If not: The map button is what Jolly Co-op uses as well. For consistency I choose that. I am considering using the double click from Jolly (v1.9+) but not everybody has it in order to customize it. For simplicity I left it as is.

Yeah, but It makes you stop whenever you press map button as the map shows. I though about another key you have to hold to make the camera follow you.

You walk -> camera stays still.
You hold the additional key -> camera follows you
You release the additional key -> camera stays at the last point it followed you

I can see that being a good addition for the vanilla type camera. At the same time, toggling instead of holding might just work as well. You stop when you press the map button but only for as long or short as you hold the button. I am currently inactive in RW modding. I put it on my todo list.

For context: I was thinking about toggling using the map button instead of a holding a different button.

In v2.5.2 you can rebind the key using the mod 'Improved Input Config'. I haven't done the follow for as long as you hold the button yet. (Or the toggle idea that I was talking about before.)

I am a bit hesitant at this point since this camera is meant for people who have issues with the movement of the camera. So I want to reduce the scrolling.
(It is mostly added for multiplayer. Other players might get surprised when the camera centers by teleporting on a player.)

I added a third camera type. It allows you to simply switch between the vanilla camera and camera scroll. The default key is the map button. You can configure the keybinding if you use the mod 'Improved Input Config'.
