"Select" and "Roll" options are possible. Options can be configured to appear only when a certain character is in a party or you have a certain amount of bombs, coin or keys. "Roll" option results in three outcomes, depending on a D20-roll (low on 1-5, medium on 6-15, high on 16-20).
Here's an example from source code, translated into human:
"You enter a cavern. It's pitch black. Completely."
Options:
- "Roll", "You walk through very carefully."
- "Select", "You pass through." (only appears when Cain is in a party)
- "Select", "You lit the fuse on a bomb to observe the cavern." (only appears when you have bombs)
Outcome:
-- "You do not notice a spike trap in the middle of a cavern." (bad D20 roll)
-- "You notice a spike trap, but you aren't very careful around it." (medium D20 roll)
-- "You notice a spike trap and barely pass through without getting hurt." (high D20 roll)
- "You are used to the darkness, you manage to dodge a spike trap and even pick something up!"
- "You see a spike trap in the middle of the room. You cross right before the bomb explodes."
