splitscreen mod freezes game completely
pretty sure its the splitscreen mod, since when i remove it, the game doesnt freeze.

basically when playing expedition/story with my friends (jolly co-op), the game would freeze at seemingly random points.
if the freeze isnt that bad, it would let me access the pause menu or unfreeze after waiting a bit, but most freezes dont let me access the pause menu and would cause me to manually close the whole program.

if i had to guess, i'd say the game freezes when the screen is split and the slugcat on screen dies. No idea though.
If this gets fixed i would be super thankful:slugcatsleep:

it seems like it freezes in big rooms / rooms with many entrances. we also have camerascroll on, but the issue is identical. the game freezes

i dont have the camerascroll mod on, but it doesnt freeze completely if cs is on and splitscreen is off

it crashes much more frequently with 3 or 4 people as well

yea, the background moves if not frozen completely. there might be a chance it will unfreeze or let you access the pause menu if i remember correctly.

Had this one pop up for me as well. I do have SB camera scroll enabled. Oddly this only seems to be an issue when going with three players (either that or the two player sessions have been lucky) during the three player sessions we have been playing with the two camera mode (4 camera mode ended up being too janky for us).

It happens consistently in certain rooms, this one was the room in shoreline just before the gate to shaded citadel.

Only other thing I see here is CRS but I only have that for extra threat themes and this was an issue before that was added

If I can provide anything else I'd be happy too

I had freezes from 2 to 3 players so I know that mostly my freezes happens when the 1st player is going to die and then it freezes and then you only see the scene before the disaster it happens even if other players are currently alive so it sucks as I like to play Expedition and I lost my cycle because I have to close the game.

Would be nice if we could get a comment from the devs on this after more than a year. Even a simple "don't know how to fix it" would be more reassuring that this issue is recognized than just ghosting us here.

Freeze occurs at mostly random times. I'll try to reproduce the issue as good as I can and try to file an issue on github if you so wish.
