Akuma balancing Ideas
Please give me any balance suggestions... I NEED HIM TO BE TOURNAMENT LEGAL

Perhaps making the down air spike would be a good idea. I mean all the other shotos in smash has that same down air but they also have a sweet spot that spikes (kinda like Welltaro's forward air) in smash.
EDIT: after some more testing it seems that is actually does spike but the spike visual doesn't appear.

also maybe make the forward air a little less powerful just to make that down air a little more powerful.
EDIT: I hadn't noticed the high power of the forward air came from a sweet spot but that sweet spot is maybe a bit too powerful.

also either make the hadoken a tiny bit more powerful or make it able to be thrown faster because it's not that great right now. just make it a little better.

Akuma is my SF main in every game he's in and I want to make him great here too.

yeah im def buffing fireball, it doesn't have enough usage in a actual game. i can add a spike vfx to dair. You think fair sweetspot is fine or should i nerf it again?

I was also thinking about buffing his aerials back to the previous version and instead, make it so he dies earlier. I want him to be a glass cannon, cuz thats what he is in SF.

Three main issues keeping Akuma from being tournament legal from what we could find:
* Down tilt does not have enough recovery and/or knockback, potentially leading to an infinite combo with good enough combo execution.
* Forward throw does not seem to have a grab hold point, which makes it so that when you forward throw while at the ledge, the opponent will fall down into the blast zone.
* Aerial side special has a really early auto cancel which makes it crazy spammable since there is no landing lag at all.

quick reminder to update the version number when you update because I had to unsub and resub to the mod to get the assist and speed update.
in-game it still displays 1.0.0

it's more the launching power of the sweet spot. I know it's supposed to be powerful but it just kinda make people die at like 70.
if you want to put that power somewhere else then put it in his side strong.

If you want alt colors then Shin Akuma from SFA2 and SFIIISI. And maybe Oni's colors from SSFIVAE. I'd say they are some good alts

Seems like down throw has a broken grab hold point. if you do down throw at the ledge with akumas back facing the ledge, it'll send the opponent downward past the stage instead of doing an attack.
