that is because you did not setup the local server.

if your using beta available or official available dedicated servers, then there obviously not gonna work. due to L4D2(Left 4 Dead 2) Update. so for now use local server


I MEAN HOST IT IF YOUR GONNA USE IT IN ONLINE ONLY LOCAL SERVER WILL WORK!
