Due to Steam Workshop not allowing custom DLLs to be including in the download, some manual setup is required unfortunately. This can cause some setup issues so this guide will address all the most common issues people have encountered and explain how to fix them.

ONLY SHOWS MASTER CHIEF AND NO MP CUSTOMIZATIONS

This issue occurs when the DLL either wasn't downloaded or placed in the right folder. Make sure you download the DLL using the link in the description. Then you need to drag and drop the actual "halo3.dll" file from the zip folder into your halo3 folder which is inside the MCC folder. It's recommended you back up the original DLL file but when you copy the DLL over, Windows will ask if you want to replace the file. That's how you know it's being placed in the correct folder.

VISORS OR CERTAIN ARMOR PIECES AREN'T SHOWING UP CORRECTLY

MCC has 2 settings that need to be enabled in order to get the full suite of armor customization. In your MCC settings menu, go to Gameplay and switch it to Halo 3. Near the bottom, you should see a setting called "New Skins", make sure that's set to enabled.

After that, in the actual campaign mission settings menu, in the same menu where you normally would enable or disable scoring, you should see a setting called "Enable Customization", make sure that's also set to enabled.

WEAPONS IN CUTSCENES DON'T ALWAYS HAVE CUSTOM WEAPON SKINS

Unfortunately the most recent MCC update changed scripts a bit it seems so I had to rewrite some of the scripts and wasn't able to include this feature anymore. It did exist at one point in the mod and I'll work on getting it back into the next update. But for the moment most of your weapons in campaign will be the default skin.

CRASHES OR DOESN'T WORK IN CO-OP

All players must have this mod downloaded and the custom DLL setup correctly in order for this to function properly over co-op. If even one player doesn't have it setup correctly, it will cause issues and probably won't work anymore.
