I think the checkpoints are to make sure people stay on the right track. For a lap to count you have to hit all the checkpoints in order (I assume). This is so people don't skip parts of the track.

ig that's fine but i dont see why they cant be added as an option (0/1 boolean in the settings)

- items
- more ui stuff (PB, best whole race time)
- better estimate the ranks (sometimes the game says im in 1st place when im clearly in 2nd)
- cosmetics and stuff i guess
- theres more but i forgot what they were

the main point of this release is to preserve the original gmod 9 experience as close as possible, but make it so that extra stuff can be added through other workshop mods if needed, so for the gamechanging things/stuff that requires effort i'm leaving that up to other addon creators lol

i'll definitely look at the top 3 rankings i've also noticed it breaking occasionally

i would like if there was a way for items that are saved when exporting a track to retain its color and size in case of being modified. it happened to me once where i tried to hide a ramp i placed on a staircase on a track (so the melons would roll upwards smoothly) by painting it with an invisible color (so it looked like the melons actually climbed the stairs instead of running up a ramp. but when i loaded the track. the ramp was not colored and looked like a normal plastic piece. is it possible to add the feature to at least retain colored objects on the track file? or is it impossible to do?
