Currently, with version 3.2, some donor weapons are just too strong. They will be more balanced next update.
The problem with boss mobs is that they are difficult to make diverse enough. Increasing hp is simple but boring. Chivalry is a pure multiplayer game in the end. The AI won't be able to make use of the donor weapons.
However, apart from decreasing the donor item strength, I will indeed introduce a new boss type in version 3.3 ;)
So it should get a little tougher. In addition, there will be a config setting for the wave increase amount. By default it is 1 but u can set it to 2, in which case, the next wave will be +2, making it approx. twice as hard.
And ur guess is right. Spearmen and bombers were requested to be removed by quite a few.
