You can use normal cryopods without problems for those. Soul balls are normally pretty uncomplicated at trapping modded creatures, just doesn't work in this instance. Also as a big appreciator of the ladybugs, try and get the 'normal' ladybugs too. They're more compact than the Stella ones, get swarm bonus and are fully compatible with soul balls.
