Yes, the Nature Shrine ("Jo Shrine" in the world gen previewer mod) only spawns in the surface forest, if there is no surface forest, neither the Nature Shrine nor the Golden Gateway ("Portals" in the world gen previewer mod) will be able to find a place to spawn and the World Gen. will break and freeze as you've seen. I don't think the drunk world will be compatible, and you can't disable the generation of either structure to my knowledge. Maybe use Quality of Terraria mod to get the effects of the Drunk World seed like you can do for "For the Worthy" seed? Am I mistaken that that's a thing? Have yet to test.

i don't think devs added support for this type of seeds. i think they are currently occupied with more important stuff.

Hello! Dev response, although rather late. Yea, although a lot of the team would love to add compatibility with the secret seeds, we just have more pressing matters at the moment. I hope we can do it eventually tho
