That'd allow of creating much smaller drones, as the designator could be of 1x3 size only + CTC block in any other place on the drone
Yup, I had it implemented, but removed it at the last moment. The issue is that keen used different interface and it's worse compared to normal ai turret from the AutoPillock perspective - it does not allow cycle targets like I do with normal turrets, so target filtering options probably won't work. I also was disappointed that you can't cockpit-lock target using camera-equipped turret past ai range (600/800).
So I felt like it was kind of waste of code char limit to have CTC support only for the sake of compactness. Maybe I'll put it back if I have free room after all other important features are in place.
Yes I got it, but to make such script I need to invest time into getting familiar with WC, its' integration, then test it, etc. The difference is just in that it would be a separate script. I don't say it won't happen, just I doubt I'd be able to do it soon. Maybe if there is enough attention, then someone would volunteer doing it just sooner.
