I wasn't screaming that and besides, why did they delete 1.4 version off steam and force people to use github for that? If they intend on keeping the version available, why bother with the extra step of moving it off steam?

Just guessing, but it might be to do with the size of the mod. The way other mods work is basically to have multiple copies of the same mod just set to be used by different versions of the game. CE itself is massive, so if they need to build in the same type of versioning, the file will be quite bloated. As to why they don't just leave old versions as is, pretty sure steam has a limit to workshop uploads. They might not be able to fit multiple versions of CE on steam.

Since this mod got updated,whenever i install the old version it causes errors with my game and it disables all of my mods,really sucks-

Well,it's easy.(If you still need help.)
1.Download the current zip document at "Assets"page.
2.After down load,open your rimworld,find a mod(no matter what it is,we just need it find mods folder.)then use it to open mods folder.(Or you can open it by yourself.It should at xxx\Steam\steamapps\common\RimWorld\Mods)
3.Unzip all document in zip,then move it into Mods folder.If your are still open the game,restart it.After that,you should find it in game.

i have been using 1.4 because 1.5 is terribly optimized

its incredibly stupid and annoying to remove the old version. Its 40 megabytes for gods sake
