Firstly the two pictures above are templates. These are unused soldiers which can be used by clicking upgrade in the bottom. The reason why they are there is because you can't add new units to an ongoing game. (Aka the game has to be turned off)

Secondly. You can find starting recruit in town and villages. If there are none keep searching. I never once heard of a game with the absence of ANY recruits.

Thirdly never, EVER use encyclode to edit ANY troops that you do not have in your party. Idk what the effects are by playing with the hidden units but just don't play with them. If you click upgrade from ANY troop that is not attached to the main tree, it creates a new tree with only them. Basically breaking the whole system. I never ever seen anyone throughout the 2 years of using this mod, literally googling the unused soldiers just to edit them. I don't know what your plan was, since it literally sound like the most broken way to use the mod as possible.

I made a basic tutorial in the description which should be followed, and if it does not work. Contact me. I can sadly say that your save is probably beyond broken now. And I can't really do anything about it.

Lastly I pretty sure I have replied to you about this three times already, in both the comment and in another discussion tab.

Now, what I recommend you trying is to remove the mod, start up the save. And save it. Then exit the game, download the mod again, and see if that fixes it. If that does not work. Then theres nothing I can do for you. Since it might be hardcoded into your save that the game believes there multiple new trees.

So if it does not work, start a new game, and this time be patient and wait for a recruit that literally called what you are supposed to do with it. No AI or anyone should be able to recruit that soldiers if you have checked out the settings screenshot or read the description about settings.
