The code and the reason why exist?
I dont want to be harsh

Let me be realistic

the idea of a code for unlock new things is interesting.....but the problem begins when you start eliminating comments that could help with the search of the code and all that

also, why would you lock content of the mod in a ARG that is hard to know where to start?

And how much content is blocked behind the arg?

At some point everything will be revealed?

I want to make clear that this doesnt meant that i hate the mod,but it feels very unfair the fact that theres no clue to where to start with the arg except the one that you put

That's the whole point of V.O.I.D. mate. They are an exclusive "elites only" club. What would be the point of them being supremacists if anyone can walk in and be recruited? What would make this mod so special if I didn't add features like this? So the point stands, it's here because it's how the faction does things.

Believe me when I say I took this straight from the source material and that it is completely in-character. The codes are a reference to how Cicada 3301 recruited members for their mystery organization.

I have made it as easy as possible to solve the code, with the fact that people will eventually share the password in mind.

"but the problem begins when you start eliminating comments"
The only comments I have deleted are ones blatantly telling people the passcodes. It's my workshop page. I decide to enforce the secrecy in the comments for the sake of your enjoyment to get the most out of solving the code instead of walking in on someone's comment going "Yeah guys, the password is CRONOS. You're welcome."

I have not removed any other comments simply asking about it or mentioning the codes.

"also, why would you lock content of the mod in a ARG that is hard to know where to start?"
You don't have to go anywhere further from the mod page to find the start you are looking for.

"And how much content is blocked behind the arg?"
Solving the code completely changes the dynamic between the player and the faction.

To answer your question, how much content you can get out of that depends on you. There is no new item added by this mod that can't be accessed behind the code, just a chance for more replayability

"At some point everything will be revealed?"
Why should it be? Does a rubics cube ever solve itself for you? Like I said mate, other people have already given out answers in different platforms. I can't police places outside of this mod page.

You're free to cheat and google the answer like some people do, but compared to trying and successfully solving the puzzle yourself, it won't be as rewarding.

Once you know the code and you unlock it a certain way, it will never be the same again because you can't un-know it. If the way you found the answer is by being told, you could never look back and say "I figured it out myself, I earned it."

You know not everyone has ways to decode your messages right? other than it's great arg hunt is nice but most people aren't arg hunters as for a rubics cube no but other people can solve it or you can get an automatic one

If I just gave everyone the code, there wouldn't be any point to having a puzzle in the first place. The whole point is to make it a bit of a challenge for those who are willing to put in the effort.

I understand that not everyone is into ARGs or code hunting, but that's precisely why this feature is exclusive. It's meant to be a special, unique experience for those who are willing to go the extra mile.

If I just handed out runner-up prizes and easy-to-find codes to everyone, it would just be another run-of-the-mill feature that you could find anywhere. That's not what I want. I want this to be something truly special and unique.

Now, I know the puzzle might not be easy for everyone, but I've done my best to make it as fair as possible. If someone can't figure it out, there are plenty of resources out there to help. You can ask around, Google it, or just think outside of the box.

The bottom line is, nobody is entitled to be given the answer to a puzzle without putting in the effort. That's just not how it works.

I think I found the start of it, nice job by the way, and I never would have though of this if I wasn't an avid watcher of Game Theory by MatPat. That being said, would it be okay to give a hint to the start without being to descriptive or is that off the table?

*thought, not though

well i mean it was kinda easy to decode, it's a pretty simple encoding, the part that i found hardest was reading the messages. Nice thing to add to a mod btw, i find it stimulating.

where do i put this code into anyway i dont know it but i dont even know where to put it into

Those that really want to know the code with much trying could just go to reddit, that's how I got it atleast. The code itself isn't anything that's overtly unique as it's more of using the right tool or/and website to decipher the [REDACTED]. Wished there were more methods of getting it without this much extremely ciphered lock.

Working with the V.O.I.D however is the most fun I've had in my choppy 12 fps Rimworld of Mechs, furries, tanks and Genocides.

This is a GAME mod, and if something requires code, then the code MUST be obtainable IN THE GAME.

When did this become a rule? A lot of games create ARG that use outside elements to solve the mystery. And besides,it just like Chicken Plucker said. It's their workshop page so they can do whatever they want with the mod.

There have been many games in which devs have decided to hid something irl like in a box in the ground with a code for a spoiler for an update for fans to hunt so ur comment shows that you don't know games well. And before someone will yell "tHiS iS A mOd nOt A GaMe!!!" why modders can't do what game devs do.
