Would it be possible to have an option for cloning to copy xenogenes? I know it'd be extremely OP, but it would be fun to have the choice to clone a sanguophage.
It would be possible, yes. It's on my list of features I'm considering, it might get added if I can find a more compact way to layout the settings screen since it's starting to get full. I had also considered making it a more advanced research, and maybe cost a more expensive resource like a bunch of Neutroamine.
So expanding the controls in the mutation settings would be nice. Other things that would be nice for how I'm using the mod (to gain new genes through mutations, espeically ones that don't show up on factions) are the ability to set more genes as forced like the clone gene is and a gene that I can make clones have where people don't care if they are killed.
I will investigate this, I didn't test the settings screen with mods that added a lot of genes so I didn't notice a performance problem. I think I can do some optimizations to improve the performance.
This is on my list, hope to get to it this week.
I will consider this, that use-case had not occurred to me before.
This seems like something that would be best as an Ideology precept. I plan to add some Ideology stuff like this in a future update, so I'll add that to the list.
Thanks for the feedback!
Example 1: Enable all possible genes, adjust the bar. the bar will change values much faster because its maximum is based on how many genes are enabled, but the bars speed doesn't adjust to compensate. There is no precision in this situation.
Example 2: Have a lot of genes enabled and set the bar high, or at least the upper section of the range, then reduce the number of enabled genes, preferably by setting back to default. The things to adjust the values then disappear, presumably they are off screen still trying to remember the higher value they were, which no longer exist. There is a way to make it go back to normal by closing the settings screen or something but its better if a fix can be found.
