what if both alt paths merged together?
instead of having to pick between downpour and glacier you just go down the path and there's a chance it will be one or the other like how the cellar a variation of the basement.
you could go through the mirror do your business in the reflected world and then come out, blow it up and fight Narcissus.
doing all the mirror fights could even lead to a fight after mother.

A mirror to Narcissus is already on first floors of Glacier/Tomb, so you can get glass shards AND knife parts(door to Downpour/Mines 2 appears after completing beating Glacier/Tomb 1 boss). Also, Revelations floors just dont feel like a variation of Repentance floors
