For reference: I usually play Legend. I like the early game (= first half of January) and mid game (= second half of January). In February the run gets boring and later annoying. For getting all research and all possible equipment I play till mid March.
I’m curious to know what enjoyment I might have overlooked. Maybe there are challenges I want to do myself?
BTW, your suggested changes would not affect my normal runs. So I don’t object.
I should probably just wrap it up. But I guess there is just something to be said to having all the personnel, gear, bases, etc sorted, have nothing really to think about and just have people who can go out and do haven defenses or squash nests/lairs/citadels. You're not missing much though.
