I have the mission objective “To Antarctica“.
But there is no site!
Do you need a game save?
hmm, I guess you ran out of sites. It would be difficult to do something about it and in TFTV this mission is optional.

* Players should no longer run out of sites to continue missions.
While I do have unexplored sites none of them are in Antarctica.
At one point I didn’t get more Delirium doing missions in the Mist.
Delirium attacks still work.

I can offer a game save with 2 immediately doable missions in the Mist (The Fourth Initiation and one Ancient Ruin).
*SPOILERS*
Defend the Cyclops:
The Chiron Smaragdus got one stomp off. The first turn it moved and then I had surrounded it.
Molecular Targeting is very strong.
The Fireworms are useless against Ancients …
After 6 turns the last Pandoran retreated. I didn’t lose any Hoplites.
Considering the fact that my troops at the site didn’t show up (Hint: something like “we are not in the vicinity of the Cyclops“) the preparation time of 8h is moot.
Finally Virophage Weapons are researchable. Time to go after the Behemoth.
Status on Feb 10:
6 bases, 4/6 Ancient sites.
6 Manticores, 2 Helioses, 3 Scarabs, 1 Aspida, 18 soldiers.
5 Fabrication Plants, 16 Research Labs, Cybernetics and Mutation Lab, 2 Food Productions, 6 Mist Repellers are being built.
The whole world is explored (but 2 rich exploration sites).
Haven losses (2 NJ and 3 Synedrion havens): 2 were unreachable, The Gift site, 1 I was a few minutes too late, 1 I could have defended but I didn’t want that team to get Delirium and I wanted an infested haven.
Diplomacy status: Anu 57%, NJ 23%, Synedrion 53%.
PX ending: Virophage Weapons and Yuggothian Entity are 13h each but I’m missing Citadel and Scylla.
Conclusion: an Antarctica start is very doable.
