Basically but unlike the other swords Demo has to deal with a risk/reward with melee. For instance the Kunai goes for heavies and medics because they will not only consistently be together but will result in high HP, but in melee fights that's a risk/reward mechanic because fighting a heavy, pyro, soldier or other demo in close range is going to be extremely risky as they can kill you very quickly
yea flamethrowers and mini-guns would decimate this, and it would work nicely with the forgotten king cosmetic set.
Say a pyro does about 98-110 damage/second. As demoknight with this weapon, your 200 health is now reduced by 112.7 to 126.5. In a second.
However, once you start snowballing, this can be offset, but in order to snow ball to begin with, you would need to not get hit by a soldier, sniper, demoman, pyro, heavy, engineer, scout or spy who are all trying to kill you and who all have increased damage against you due to the ranged vulnerability.
level 33 Spine on a hilt
+ Has 50% longer melee range.
+ On hit: causes bleed to enemy for 5 seconds.
+ Minicrits targets when fired at their back from close range.
- On miss, causes self-damage and bleed to the player for 5 seconds.
- 75% slower deploy and holster time.
