Sometimes you can whittle the defenders down and send several waves.
If a mission is too hard for your current game state and/or you can't afford the AI members you need, you can just skip it. Not everything is doable all the time and the game doesn't hold your hand.
For kill the traitor, see if you can spot him and take him out from a distance and then running away without defeating all of the guards. You might have to wait a few minutes until he bleeds out to get the success message.
Thanks for the responses, AI even at 20, plus any surrounding enemies, town guards/police etc seems high for solo to me personally. Is there any code changes I could make to reduce this Meerkat?
Need to drive up to the target in a car undercover, and start the rush.
Grab a sniper rifle and scope out of the arsenal even if it's not unlocked yet. You can often spot the target through a window or in a doorway or standing out on a pier.
if you spook the target he's going to jump into a vehicle and he tries to drive to an enemy base, so you can be ready for that and chase him down before he gets there.
You don't have to fight the 2-3 squads.
