These are official Marine Corps combat correspondents. Deployed together with other units, their goal is to make photos and videos for the government, not for the public. Every soldier no matter who it is: tankman, cook or correspondent are still a soldiers and they know how to fight and will fight. They all get trained for this even if they usually don't participate directly in combat encounter.

The thing is why are they here in first place they are killing staff to cover up incident i don't know why they need press unit's.
But it can be explained away by this mod not following lore .
