how about adding a special carrying item for her like a spider in her back or something like that to compensate for backpacks.

yeah the chronic back pain is a fun lore mechanic but not being able to equip any armor
there must be something to compensate it, an upside.

maybe make it that you cant use armor and the backpack at the same time, so that onbly one can be used at the time, because Chronic back pain is a funny meme but not beeing able to use armor makes her a houswife you cant realy fight anyone

Since she can't wear anything normal like a backpack or armor in her bodyslot (except amulets) it would be funny if she could wear spiders on her back...
1. sea strider for allowing water walking (dr. octopus style)
2. nurse spider for (some) healing
3. spitter spider for (limited) ranged attack
etc..
and maybe if she gets hit the spider takes some % of the damage.

Backpain is gonna be toggleable in configs next update. Some custom headgear items are also planned to compensate for missing body items.

We're still thinking.

man this is something i'd really wanna but coding a character to swim is beyond what we can do prolly

she can consume 20 of sanity for create silk or with the time she can create a pasive armor with silk and with the razor she can destroy the armor and get silk? is a idea for the mod

I tought about other (inborn) abilities that might suit this character but unfortunately came up empty...

So instead I looked at the unique craftables thing and tought about other equipment she could wear. How about the iridescent amultet? Since there exists a counterpart for the star caller staff (the moon callers stafff) there should be a counterpart for the magiluminescence (the yellow amulet). It would do the same things as the yelllow amulet but would allow walking (not swimming) on water at night. (It would make sense, the moon has influence over oceans).

Since getting an iridescent gem is pretty difficult you can make it regain durability on full moons when on the ground. (idk what the recharge rate would be)

A white amulet for a white spider.

(I don't know much about coding but mabye it could be coded in a way that when you take off the amulet it updates the character and checks if there is ocean below so they can properly drown??)

Also how about a helmet (acient tab) that uses red gems to craft and shoots (red) lasers like clockwork bishops?

i actually did this by copying the spider den sleeping scripts but everyone was able to sleep in mushtrees because there's no actual check for webbers tags in there. Changing that is beyond me and pumkin figured it's too complicated so sadly she ain't gonna be sleeping in mushtrees

How about a bundeling wrap that you can craft with silk yarns which only carries spiders?
(not food or other items) it would be useful since you wouldn't have to grind bee queen or klaus for wax paper.

yesss i wanted that for a while, we actually have functional silk wraps for her rn but can't get their sprites to show up in game, i'll update her once we get that to work
