at that moment i also lost all my companions including "heroes"
I've played other mods with this feature and if you joined an army as just a soldier then you would of course be without your group during that but when on leave or after you left the party you had prior to joining would be returned to you. No companions left, nor did you lose any troops you had.
In this game it seems a bit odd in the way its working. For instance, I had three companions; Mari, Musashi, and Gonnosuke (I think that was his name, likely wrong as I didn't have him with me long.) I also had a party of around 55 assorted troops. I then joined Lord Nakahara of the Otomo Clan as a soldier.
Upon joining I was informed that Musashi and Gonnosuke left me for one reason or another. I traveled and fought for awhile, solo as expected. I then requested some leave so that I might sell my loot. Upon being granted leave I found that I had my 55 troops as well as Mari.
Musashi and Gonnosuke had completely deserted me when I joined and didn't return during my time of leave like my other companion, Mari, or my troops. More annoyingly when I reached town and went to the inn I tried to ask a traveler about the whereabouts of my companions but only had the option of "never mind".
I'm hoping that these two lost companions will turn up again at some point, like they normally do when they leave from being unhappy. It would be rather unfortunate to find that I'm going to be without them forever.
