I think it would be the point for a katana to be weaker than the yari bow and the naganita...afterall, those were the main battlefield weapons of the time.

no dachi good weapon but the best weapon in game is tetsubo

well, yes I know that the katana should be weaker as it was more of a spiritual/ceremonial type of weapon, but swords were still useful in combat and could still hold up against most other weapons
