IDK blame valve for not making a skull prop appear when you kill a zombine with a headshot. also why would they remove the part with the brain?

If I remember correctly the combine are genetically altered cyborg super-soldiers, so I assumed that their helmets were basically just affixed to them, tearing off most of the head along with it if removed

Good point mate

The combine soldiers are already heavily augmented as is, nothing would stop a headcrab from keeping a half-decapitated soldier alive.

IDK blame valve for not making a skull prop appear when you kill a zombine with a headshot. also why would they remove the part with the brain?

I'm pretty sure the combine soldiers have a voice modulator in their neck, which would make sense for them being able to speak if the headcrab fully removed the top of their head and left only their jaw.
