I am currently having the same problem, I even took a screenshot of the obnoxiously long crash error (it spills into my second monitor).
I had to deactivate the mod to get into the character selection screen, and any character that uses a race from this mod or any add-on for it will immediately crash the game, attempting to open the character creator with this mod on does the same thing.
I think it has something to do with it drawing the character assets, like the head, body, legs, and any other accessories it may have had.
It's rather annoying, I deleted all of my characters over it because I thought it may be a problem with them specifically. I can send the maker of this mod the crash report log over discord since I don't know if you can send images on steam.

I know this bug is very recent because it was working fine just earlier this week.
