I play the PT (Public Test) branch since I play with my friends, and trying to co-op on the normal branch has been a pretty unstable experience for us. The current workshop version of this mod hangs on an empty village playing on PT, so I tweaked your mod so that it works on PT. It would be really cool if others playing on PT could benefit from this version.
