Bug Reports
- switching 'Mech control mid-mission can mess up torso twist bounds; especially apparent with Desperado
- using YAML salvage assembly to get FrankenMechs results in mysterious overtonnage errors at mission launch, preventing mission launch; seems like you need to be 10.5 tons underweight to compensate for now? fixed in YAML update 0.22
- the FrankenMech quick armor repair quirk can fail to cause instant repair under certain circumstances

Possible issue.

Various FM's have the ability to instantly be repaired even in hostile systems because of their massive repair time discount. While this clearly implies an ease of repair, the issue is that... not all mechs have this instant repair function, nor do they seem to have a consistent rhyme or reason for why it failed to instantly repair.

It seemingly has nothing to do with damage or time taken. This issue seems more likely to happen on worlds with +120% repair time modifier.


As an example, Vinegaroon is consistently able to instantly repair in most systems, but others mechs don't.

The FrankenMechs all should have instant armor repair time, so as long as that's their only damage (no structural or weapon / equipment damage), they can be instantly repaired by design. They have slower than normal structure repair time (and more expensive), so it's definitely worth getting the most out of their armor: maxing it, keeping less damaged parts facing the enemy in battle, etc.

So my first thought is are you sure they only had armor damage?

The FrankenMech quirk that they all have has a armorRepairDaysMulti of 0, so any armor repair time should be getting multiplied by 0, and so result in 0 time to repair as long as they only have armor damage.

Sooo... if you are encountering a non-zero repair time with only armor damage, let me know, as I do want that mechanic to work consistently. Details like specific 'Mech and location may be a good starting point.

They only had armor damage. And yes, I know about this. None of these mechs took health damage.

The times that they do take health damage, I don't factor it in as part of that tally since the FM trait makes the structure repair take longer.

My guess it's some overflow errors on occassion.

yo, sorry to bother you with this, but your mod causes an error with YAML, where the MAD-AL (hero marauder 2) doesnt get its missile slots, anything you can do?

i asked the YAML dev bout this, and he said it was something to do with this file ( Marauderii_HPS ) if it helps at all

Thank you, I'll look into it. This mod shouldn't be overwriting any existing hardpoint files so this seems a bit odd, but obviously not a side effect I want to cause.

Hello! not sure if it can be of help, it seems the problem with YAML / Marauder II is affecting other variants (e.g. MAD-4HP), not just the MAD-AL

Hello just noticed an interesting interaction with FF and YAML/YAW. For some reason the MAD-4HP, MAD-BARA2, and MAD-Tf have their weapon slots become missing when enabling this mod. The weapons are there, but you cannot access the slots and sometimes the critical slots are missing for the respective area. Maybe related to the Firebeetle, Equerry, or Mad Cat?

Follow Up: Changing the load order seems to fix the issue. I have this at 7 now - so its above YAML. idk if that helps.

Some other devs were suggesting having unique names for the mds's. Not sure if that helps.

Deleted 3 missile hard points from the Hero Champion Invctus.

It has become incompatible with YAML's current baseline. An update or shared source code would help this mod live on; it was only turned off reluctantly by those who did.
