In the starter system I've found basically no abandoned pois, even to the point that I found a Polaris reclaimed settlement less than 500m away from the zirax drone base.

Not somewhere that I'd personally want to live but each to their own...

I hope the reclaimed POIs are works in progress. I like the idea, nice to see some progress in the game as far as recovering from the legacy goes. But I admit there's not much to see, do, or loot with those POIs. If there were some unique traders or quests, maybe that would result in getting some rare items that would be of use early game, that would jazz up those POIs to no end.

I think the idea is to reduce the easy early game loot and slow progression down a little.

Although I think the junk storages need nerfing too, found a couple with 4000 computers and another with 10000 flux coils, not to mention CV shield gens and jump drives...

Those new mega loot junk storages and junk drones were recently added. Agree they seem just a tad over powered. From going to desperate scrounging for even a couple flux coils I now have 10K of them. I like the idea of an occasional windfall in the game. But maybe a basket of apples, not the whole orchard ;)

What do we do with the junk drone? Attack it? Will that anger any faction? I've seen it (looks awesome) but never approached it or attacked it...occasionally I have seen it firing but I don't know what it was shooting at.

You can attack without worry, just take out the 5 thrusters at the back to stop it and expose the core.

There is a CV cockpit, warp drive, pentaxid take, thrusters gens o2/fuel tanks plus what ever is in the junk storage it's carrying.

Super easy to loot.

I'm not sure if this was intended, but all the abandoned pois I have have come across have become reclaimed. Some of the loot is still intact and can be looted without angering a faction. No more Abandoned Bunker runs makes me a little bit sad. Please tell me it's some weird bug.

You'll find more unmodified sites once you leave the starting system.
