I can confirm this. In my new game it won't allow me to put one down. It throws an error and then magically disappears. Since flux coils are the gold of this mod I wasted 30 of them (building new deconstructors). I then started doing backup before putting one down. It won't. Tried on base and CV.

In my "old" save, when I loaded my CV that had a deconstructor on it completely disappeared. My SV that is docked is floating in the air on a transparent CV.

PLEASE FIX!!

I can also say deconstructors seem to have a major bug. I loaded up after the last update to find half of my base and half of my CV missing, like a big square chunk was taken out of them. And it was were i had put the decons.

So a work around till is fixed is create a deconstructer hut and spawn it in, you will need to go into creative the command is CM then SBP then you can spawn it and it should work, remember to counter the 2 commands after you are done and remove you self from CM and SBP mode by just running those commands again.

@CaptJacSparo Can you go into a little more detail about how you spawned it in? Where did you create the BP to spawn it in? I tried making a decon hut in normal empyrion creative and then spawning it in star salvage but that didnt work. Then I tried making it in star salvage and that didnt work either. thanks for any help

nvm, this is the fix in case anyone missed it.

Per one of the responses the solution appears to be related to the game not reloading the fixed scenerio. Requiring an unsub/resub to "force" it. I saved my entire base by doing this and then opening a backup just before I left the planet to go to my orbital base. I assume it will work for anyone not within render distance.

For all of you who are having the Deconstructor issue making your base or CV disappear. First of all you will have a chunk missing after you "fix" this. I tested this on an old save with CV had a deconstructor. Before fix, I loaded and CV completely disappeared. Now it is missing a large chunk where the deconstructor was. Same for base.

To FIX... @cubesteak had it right (THANK YOU!!!). You need to unsubscribe from the scenario. Load EGS (without scenario). Close EGS. Then resubscribe to the scenario and it will download the latest files. I tried to verify local files in steam but that did not update the scenario for some reason (twice).
