I made some sort of lore/story behind the infestors, so, lets GO!


The infestors are ancient ''giant bacteria'' from when mars had water, as mars ozone layer slowly disappeared, the oceans started to evaporate, so, the infestors migrated to where there was water, by going south, until the point that they were in the south pole, however, they were frozen over and layed dormant for millions upon trillions of years.\

Somewhere in the 21st century, humans lead an exploration of mars to its south pole to research about previous life forms on the planet, and, they found once of the infestors! Assuming it was a piece of alien tech, they cut the ice and made sure they didn't cut it, after it was brought on earth, the ice thawed and the infestor was set loose!

The facility is was being hold at was covered in a multitude of infestors, and in a botched effort, nuked the facility, which to be frankly, was even worser for themselves as infestors were thrown across the north american continent, due to the drastic differences in mars water and earth water, infestors cant travel through sea, but over time, adapted and gained flight, which, as you can tell, wasn't good for humanity
