The reason why you aren't receiving any damage is because your playermodel is only those hands. If you look at yourself in thirdperson you can see that you are just a pair of floating arms with no hitboxes. You need to use this mod: https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2257795841 and select the HEV hands under the "hands" tab while selecting a normal playermodel under "model" so you can go back to normal.
