Normal Edith Suggestions
- The falling into pits effect is lovely and adorable to witness, but it could be a little more lenient, as I tend to fall into pits I was only on the edge of.

- I know the original version of Edith could only have soul hearts what with Tbeth, TJudas, and Tforgotten, I'd say that mechanic is a little overused. So while she starts with 3 soul hearts, it would be nice if she could aquire red heart containers during the run.

- I would recommend an inherent Callus effect (immunity to floor hazards like spikes and creep) so that enemies which leave creep behind them aren't automatic damage when stomped.

- A nice way of visually showing when Edith is and isn't invincible *could* be to make her only be a salt statue while invincible and have her be human otherwise - or perhaps just her head turns human, so that she still can't walk. Just a thought.

- In the classic version of your mod, one could adjust Edith's trajectory while she was still in the air by continuing to move the crosshair after she jumped. That would be a nice QOL feature to have back - but if you removed it because it looked weird with Edith being on-screen while jumping, that's fair.

Perhaps Bone hearts might be a happy middle ground for Edith?

I definitely agree that both edith and t.edith should be able to get red health.

i think her birthright should be that she gets a small rock wave attack when she stomps, definitely would help with the thing of getting damaged if you dont kill an enemy with a stomp.

its also pretty disorienting that your crosshair can move over rocks but you cant jump over them

I think a great way of giving the player more control over her would be to have her have a pocket active that controls when she stomps. Having to wait for the cursor to stop moving to get out of the way of a spider is virtually impossible, but having a button to stomp would instantly make that a non-issue.

this was actually a planned feature! drop key will be mapped to command stomp.

you could also use E as the stomp key, since bombs are (mostly) useless for her. Drop button could also work, but depending on the player's control scheme, it might be a little awkward.

One nice way to fix the issue with enemies that don't die in one stomp could be to have Edith leapfrog over the enemy by instantly jumping from the enemy to a location in the same direction as the first jump, and the same distance away as the distance of the first jump.
Basically, if you jump on an enemy and it doesn't die, Edith pulls a Mario and bounces onwards.
(yes, I've thought about this character's mechanics a lot)

birthright for edith: chargable smashes that do more damage and give invincibility for some time

Highly agree with this! Edith is capable of smashing tinted rocks and opening secret rooms on her own, so maybe doing away with bombs as a whole/making the manual jump E could be more comfortable on the hands than drop. (on the flipside, T.Edith still has a use for bombs since she can't auto-break them like normal Edith can)

Oh, you know what would be cool? Stomp synergies!
Like, with 20/20 you could stomp twice at a time
..and that's all I could come up with, apparently

you could also have the damage dealt by the stomp be equal to dmg * tears, so that both stats are useful for stomping

and tear effects should be able to proc on the stomp if they don't already

A pocket active item that serves to depetrify her and she can act as a normal character in the room for a short period of time, as a reverse effect of the inverted Chariot card, this would also help explain why she can have red hearts.
