You want to right click on your hoi4 icon in the steam library go to properties and then to betas, then select which beta the mod currently runs on.

thats the issue there in no beta for the version

There should be different version branches for hoi4. You may want Pre-Barbarossa.

nvm i got it to work even tho it was wrong version really think there should be a focus where Lelouch becomes emperor

Just roll back to the avalanche update then it should work without crashing. (Right click HOI4, go into properties and roll back to the Avalanche version.
